I wish it was easy to talk to teenagers do not smoke. Many of you who read this will understand it and agree with me, but you still go out and smoke. That’s because you’ll be with friends and some of them will be as tribal leaders and they will smoke. Then when they smoke in the other group, smoking, and then someone will hand you a cigarette and you are expected to smoke it.

When this moment happens, you will find it easier to smoke to go to the effort to not smoke. If You Don’t smoke, you must say why you Don’t smoke and you’re likely to piss off those who are already addicted. As a kid you’ve never been taught the art of saying NO.

The word NO is the most important word for a teenager to know well. When others want you to make you Don’t want to do you need to learn to say NO to them and be strong enough that they will be down and take NO for answer. If you can’t say NO when they say”Aw Com’mon”you end up doing a lot of things you Don’t want to do.

When you get older you learn a lot of things you Don’t know when you are”just a child. People will always try to sucker you into things that are not t’in your best interests. As a kid you are more trust and foolish people who are older and more experienced. In other words, are children like you easier to sucker.

I know a lot of you Don’t like the idea that I think you’re easy to sucker. You tend to think you know more than you do in practice. It better be, however, that there are people out there that want to take advantage of you and is very good to get you to do what they want. If you do this then hopefully you’ll be more careful about the decisions to make

Reasons to quit smoking otherwise it will kill you.

Despite all the health warnings, teenagers still get hooked on tobacco, even though everyone knew that’s bad for them. It is therefore logical to conclude that shallow knowledge of health risks is not enough to persuade teenagers not to smoke. I gave this question a lot of thought and feel like we are missing the real reasons and the real issues behind smoking, and therefore I will attempt to break new ground in this area in an attempt to save future generations from the cycle of current smokers.

I will first start with the fact that much more powerful reason to not smoke, you’ever heard. These are the reasons that you can easily verify, are true. This will help establish a new basis of understanding. Then I will talk about human nature and how you will be tempted to smoke, although this is very bad for you. I’ll talk about how people are herd animals and how nicotine is introduced into their tribe. I will also talk about how tobacco industry uses sex to get you to smoke.

It is my sincere wish that the teenagers, as you will read this message and give some as far as possible, and that this will lead you to quit smoking if this is not’t until the end for you, or not to start smoking. My generation (baby boomers, Vietnam, Rock n’Roll, Hippies, Bill Clinton), were made drug that our parents generation (World War II, Bob Dole). As our parents generation are disappearing top of the screen, my generation is now coming to power. And now we, however, to assume responsibility for sending a new message in the future, so that one day that your children get’t grow up in the world Nicobrain

Tobacco industry wants your soul. For large tobacco, the big bucks you need for you hooked while you are still young. Their own studies have shown that the earlier you get hooked baby, deeper addiction. Must get nicotine to the brain chemistry, while your brain, which are still in such a way that you will develop what I call Nicobrain. Note that it is hooked, so much to change their thoughts to work with the models you are addicted.

Teenagers can be compared to young birds are most vulnerable just when they are about to leave the nest. They are too old and the mother’s mobile to prevent them, but inexperienced, to avoid those who would prey on them. In today’s society are those who prey on young people. And the worst of the tobacco industry.

YouGov survey found that 3.8 million adults in England, the’ misguidedly tried to burn off with exercise drink”.

Survey on behalf of the Know Your Limits campaign found that 19 percent of adults in England, performing regularly and drink alcohol, I confess that in the exercise or play sports, that’ form , because he was drunk much alcohol in the previous few days.

The researchers said that this is even more prevalent among heavy drinkers.

The survey found that one in five English adults drink more than twice the recommended limit, and those who exercised even over a quarter admit that it would for their drinking.

Public health minister Gillian Merron said:” Everyone knows that regularly participate in physical activity is important for maintaining good health.

“But the truth is, if you have a great night at the pub, you’re not going to replace it with a workout the next day. The damage from regular drinking too much can slowly creep up and you will not see until it’s too late.”

GP and broadcaster Dr Carol Cooper supports the Know Your Limits campaign, and is concerned people think it is running or swimming can easily undo any damage caused by too much alcohol.

She said,” People should be aware that regular drinking double the recommended limit comes with health risks that can’t simply burnt off down the gym in the pool or on the football field. ”

Commenting on the survey, Professor Ian Gilmore, President of the Royal College of Physicians and chairman Alcohol Health Alliance, said:” While it is encouraging to see that people recognize that heavy drinking is bad for their health, it is clear that the scope of injury, not the alcohol that the body does not receive all of the people.

“Regular exercise will not prevent the occurrence of liver disease and other diseases related to alcohol consumption, if people continue to binge drink above safe limits.”

Men who regularly drink over eight units a day (about three pints in a lager), and women who regularly drink over six units a day (about two large glasses of wine), in the opinion of the NHS, which is the” higher risk’ of harming their health.

More than ten million adults in England regularly exceed the recommended daily limits

People who smoke only in the morning may be at greater risk of lung cancer than those who wait until later in the day, new research suggests.

A study by researchers at Penn State College of Medicine found that early morning smokers have much higher cotinine, a chemical formed when nicotine processed by the body.

These smokers typically had higher cotinine than those who smoked more cigarettes everywhere, but do not light up in the morning.

Dr. Joshua Muscat, a professor of public health sciences at Penn State College of Medicine, warned: ‘as cotinine levels appear to reflect the risk of lung cancer, our results suggest that smokers who smoke immediately after waking may be particularly at risk for lung cancer.’

The results were based on a study involving 252 daily cigarette smokers, which is published in the journal Cancer Epidemiology, Biomarkers and Prevention, and suggest that morning smokers’ may require a more intensive effort than other smokers to help them keep up’, Dr Muscat added.

Nine out of ten cases of lung cancer - the second most common cancer in Denmark - are caused by smoking, according to Cancer Research UK.

According to the charity, a person’s risk of developing the disease begins to decline once they stop smoking, so even long-term smokers try to quit.

According to the report on the global tobacco epidemic in 2009 only 5.4 percent of people affected by comprehensive smoke-free laws last year, although this has risen from 3.1 percent in 2007.

A total of 17 countries now have wide smoking ban, with seven - Colombia, Djibouti, Guatemala, Mauritius, Panama, Turkey and Zambia - to introduce their new rules in 2008.

Dr. Ala Alwan, WHO’s Deputy Director General for non-communicable diseases and mental health, said that while progress has been made,’ the fact that more than 94 percent of the population remains unprotected by comprehensive smoke-free laws shows that much more work to be done’.

‘An immediate action is necessary to protect people from death and disease caused by exposure to tobacco smoke,” the expert added.

Smoking is the single biggest cause of cancer in the world, accounting for one quarter of UK deaths from the disease.

Even people who do not smoke are exposed to passive smoking, which can raise a non-smoker’s risk of developing lung cancer by a quarter, according to Cancer Research UK.

These men and women, and other service professionals are recruited for a series of clinical studies on the health effects of passive smoking on non-smokers, and that are held in other places.

Funded through an 8.7 million U.S. dollars Flight Attendant Medical Research Institute (FAMRI) grant to Weill Cornell Medical College, the initiative will employ a multidisciplinary research and clinical program to improve early diagnosis and treatment of diseases related to passive smoking (SHS) exposure - including, heart disease, asthma, and bronchitis.

A total of 5,000 patients will be recruited, with particular attention to workers in industries with a high degree of exposure to secondhand smoke - including flight attendants, restaurant and entertainers.

“I want to recognize FAMRI for their leadership as they have made an important contribution toward properly addressing this important public health problem. Together, through this new initiative, we hope to better understand, prevent and treat the harmful effects of passive smoking,” says Dr. Antonio M. Gotto, the Stephen and Suzanne Weiss Dean of Weill Cornell Medical College.

“It ‘is well known that passive smoking causes a variety of health problems, from heart disease to lung cancer This series of bold and multidisciplinary collaborative studies was designed to provide maximum benefit for the millions exposed and in the most timely and cost effective manner possible,” says Dr. Herbert Pardes, president and CEO of NewYork-Presbyterian.

“Passive smoking is a matter of vital importance to flight attendants and people who have been exposed, willingly or unwillingly, to ETS. FAMRI-IELCAP the Collaborative Network represents an important opportunity to help ensure that exposure to cigarette smoke doesn’t equate to a death sentence for his accidental victims,” says Elizabeth A. Kress, executive director of FAMRI.

“The good news is that we expect to demonstrate that you can screen for diseases caused by passive smoking in time for effective treatment,” says Dr. Claudia Henschke, division chief of chest imaging at NewYork-Presbyterian / Weill Cornell and professor of radiology and cardiothoracic surgery at Weill Cornell Medical College. She is principal investigator of I-ELCAP and All FAMRI-IELCAP collaborative network project.

The new initiative will make use of many disciplines, ranging from diagnostic imaging for early diagnosis of the disease in combination with advanced image processing laboratory for the development of key biomarkers.

The FAMRI-IELCAP Collaborative Network has planned three major projects, lasting five years, to:

1. Determine the probability of specific respiratory diseases (bronchitis, emphysema, bronchiectasis, focal pneumonia, mediastinal tumors) among patients exposed to passive smoking, with the aim of developing appropriate screening programs. (The principal investigator is Dr. Claudia Henschke.)

2. Assess the increased risk of cardiovascular disease from passive smoking, independent of other risk factors, and develop guidelines for a clinical program of screening for cardiovascular disease. (The principal investigator is NewYork-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell’s Dr. David Yankelevitz, co-director of the screening program of lung cancer, attending radiologist at NewYork-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell and professor of radiology and cardiothoracic surgery at Weill Cornell Medical College.)

3. Determine whether increased levels of prostaglandins (PGE-M) in urine, a marker of inflammation, in particular the diseases of the lung, can be used as a biomarker of the effects of tobacco smoke.
Drug helps get rid of cravings and withdrawal symptoms associated with stopping smoking and became available in the UK last year.

But it is already known to increase the risk of depression in patients with a history of mental illness and the report expressed concern that the drug may be associated with suicidal thoughts and behavior.

Call for updated product information for physicians and patients following a Europe-wide review of all available data on drug’s use and its side effects by the Committee for Medicinal Products (CHMP).

Last week, EMEA has asked the manufacturer Pfizer to update its information about the product by December 19 and warn doctors and patients that depression has been reported in patients trying to quit using drugs, and symptoms may include suicidal thoughts and suicide attempts.

Both the EMEA in Europe and the Food and Drug Administration in the U.S. emphasizes that it is difficult to determine whether symptoms are due to varenicline, how people can become depressed when they stop smoking, whether they take drugs to help them or not.

Champix It is sold in the U.S. as Chantix in November, the FDA issued a similar start of the communication, saying there were several post-marketing reports from the pharmaceutical company, to patients with suicidal thoughts and behavior in chaotic drug use.

Until better scientific information available, the EMEA advises doctors tell their patients that depression may be side effects to stop smoking, and patients Champix who are beginning to take suicidal thoughts should stop taking the drug and see their doctor.

Nicotine is a chemical that causes a shiver or good feeling, but that feeling only lasts a short period of time. It is also addictive. The nicotine and other toxic chemicals in tobacco cause many diseases such as heart disease, cancer of the tongue and some other major types of cancer.

A study showed that habitual cigar smoking causes cancers of the lip, tongue, mouth, throat, larynx, esophagus, and lung cancer and chronic obstructive pulmonary (lung) disease and coronary artery disease.

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration has announced that they are forcing manufacturers to place a Boxed Warning on prescribing information for smoking cessation drug Chantix (varenicline) and Zyban (buproprion). The warning will highlight the risk of serious psychiatric events, including changes in behavior, depression, hostility, and suicidal thoughts when taking these medicines.

“The risk of serious side effects while taking these products should be weighed against the significant health benefits of quitting smoking,” says Janet Woodcock, MD, Director, FDA’s Center for Drug Evaluation and Research.” Smoking is the leading cause of preventable illness, disability and death in the United States, and we know that these products are effective tools in helping people quit. “

Similar information on mental health events will need to buspirone was marketed as the antidepressant Wellbutrin and the generic versions of buspirone. These drugs already carry a Boxed Warning for suicidal behavior in psychiatric disorders.

Snipe said health professionals who prescribe Chantix and Zyban should monitor their patients for any unusual changes in mood and behavior after starting these drugs. She added that patients should immediately contact their healthcare provider if they experience such changes.

FDA’s request for additional warnings are based on a review of reports submitted to the Agency’s Adverse Event Reporting System since the time the product was marketed and an analysis of data from clinical trials and scientific literature.

The analysis showed that some who have taken Chantix and Zyban have reported experiencing unusual changes in behavior, become depressed or had their depression worse, and had thoughts of suicide or dying. In many cases, began the problems soon after starting the medication and ended when the medication was stopped. But some people continued to have symptoms after stopping medication. Also, in a few cases, the problems began after the medication was stopped.

Either Chantix or Zyban contains nicotine and some of these symptoms could be a reaction to nicotine withdrawal. People who stop smoking may experience symptoms such as depression, anxiety, irritability, restlessness, and sleep disturbances. But some patients who were using these products experienced the reported adverse events while they were still smoking.

In addition to the Boxed Warning, FDA also is requesting more information in the Warnings section of the prescribing information and updated information in the Medication Guide for patients to discuss the matter further risk of psychiatric events using these products.

Manufacturers will also be required to conduct a clinical trial to determine how often serious neuropsychiatric symptoms in patients using the different smoking cessation treatment, including patients who currently have mental disorders. FDA’s review of adverse events for patients using nicotine patches, could not demonstrate a clear link between these drugs and suicide incidents.

Chantix are designed at New York-based Pfizer Inc. Zyban already are designed at GlaxoSmithKline, Brentford, and Middlesex, UK.
